MEETINGS AND CONFERENCES
Krakow has a wide range of resources for organizing conferences. Modern global hotel chains offer world class conference centres. Smaller hotels located in historical buildings provide more intimate spaces for smaller business meetings. Altogether in Krakow there are some 200 conference rooms with the total area of 25,000 m2. Apart from the offer by hotel managements directed at conference organizers, it is possible to find in Krakow many solutions which make it possible to organize conferences in places with special, non-standard characteristics. Here are just few examples of interesting solutions for conferences:
Conference complex at the International Cultural Centre located on the Main Square, the very centre of the most representative part of the town, near numerous restaurants and hotels, with easy access from the railway and bus stations, and from the airport. This conference complex offers the highest level of comfort and the best technical facilities. The visual excellence of the premises, as well as the standards of guest services, are also of superior quality.
Krakow Philharmonic – as a conference facility Krakow Philharmonic leases its premises for cultural events and conferences. The Philharmonic concert hall has 693 seats (grand floor, balcony and VIP boxes). It is outfitted in the style of the 1930s with characteristic design features – gilded columns, stylised ceiling panels. An exceptional embellishment of the concert hall is the organ made by Johannes Klais Orgelbau firm from Bonn. The organ’s casing was designed by the world’s top stylists in this craft. The Golden Hall is located on the first floor of the edifice, and it is perfectly suited to the needs of a banquet, symposium or conference organizers. The room of 134 m2 can accommodate approximately 100 persons. High, stylish windows and a balcony facing the most beautiful part of Planty Park, plus the so-called “golden” décor creates a unique atmosphere.
Salt Mine in Wieliczka – or an altogether different conference The Salt Mine in Wieliczka is one of the main tourist attractions of the region, and one of the Polish tourist attractions best known in the world. It is also an ideal unconventional place for a conference. Conferences or business meetings can take place in three underground chambers of the mine – Warsaw chamber with the capacity for comfortably accommodating 800 persons, Jan Haluszko chamber (capacity - 150 persons), Drozdowice IV chamber (capacity - 110 persons) and the mezzanine in the Warsaw chamber (capacity -100 persons). |
