Romantic Mountains
One of the indisputable advantages of Krakow, in contrast to other Polish cities, is that is that it is located close to the mountains. The journey to Zakopane, the most important mountain resort in the country, takes only about 3 hours by car. We prepared a short two-day excursion to help serve as a small introduction to the best of the beauties of the Polish mountains.
This trip involves great exposure to a series of unforgettable natural experiences: the highest central European mountains – the Tatras, the beautiful town of Zakopane, the wooden churches of Polish Galicia, the mediaeval castle in Czorsztyn, a pleasant and safe raft ride, and last - but not least – the delicious cuisine.
