One of the newest additions to Gdansk's hotel scene, Amber Hotel is a sizable three-level structure poised on top of a hill in the peaceful residential district of Suchanino. It takes approximately 30 minutes to reach the central railway and bus station, plus the Old Town's attractions on foot, but there's a number of buses that also go the route, reducing travel time to 10 minutes.
The newly-constructed Amber Hotel is the sort of place that city needs more of: visually appealing and user-friendly mid-range living spaces, high-tech facilities and a team of motivated and energetic professionals. The decor is more brown-and-beige business that cutting-edge cool, but the rooms lack for nothing when it comes to modern conveniences, including tiled shower-only bathrooms, plasma TVs, fridges, safe boxes, and wireless Internet connection. International dishes are served in the ground-floor Bursztynowa restaurant and the two light-filled conference rooms come fitted with a range of upscale equipment. In the future, the basement will see the addition of a full-service spa centre.
