Stationed on a quiet Straganiarska Street just a few steps from the riverside promenade, Dom Aktora takes up to neighbouring buildings both dating from the early 19th century. This pivotal Old Town position affords easy access to all the sightseeing spots, including the picturesque Dluga Street with its iconic Neptune Fountain and sky-high Town Hall. It takes about 20 minutes to reach the central train station on foot.
Dom Aktora translates as "home of the actors" and it refers to its previous incarnation as the communal hangout of the city's bohemian artists and stage figures. It has since been transformed into a cosy accommodation for families and budget-conscious travellers. Accessible by stairs only, rooms here come in different shapes and sized, but they are all equipped with functional furnishings, clean bathrooms, cable TVs, fridges and wireless Internet access. A few apartments also have kitchens and balconies. Breakfast is served in the ground-floor dining room that is connected with the small reception area.
