The Express is to the north of the city centre, which can be reached in about 15 minutes by car. It's on the Opolska street highway, which leads to the A4 the connecting route to Warsaw, Wroclaw, Katowice and Krakow Balice Airport, a 20 minute drive away. The hotel runs a shuttle service to the city centre and there is a bus service outside the hotel too. The nearest train station is Cracow-Lobzow, which is one stop from the main train terminal.
Devotees of the Holiday Inn brand will find little to complain about at Krakow's Express Hotel. It sticks pretty much to the company's formula of providing modern, spacious rooms all of the same standard. Rooms are in a blue and yellow palette scheme with good quality furnishings and fittings. There's plenty that you wouldn't find in similar priced hotels, including tea and coffee-making facilities, snazzy reading and microlights over the bed. An extra large desk is great to work at as the designers have thoughtfully not plonked a mirror in front of it. Bathrooms are a good size and have bigger than norm shower cubicles. With its excellent motorway and airport links, The Express would make a good choice for business execs or large groups touching down in the city.
