Pod Wawelem is in a top spot at the foot of Wawel Hill and Castle and facing the Wisla River. Opposite the hotel will be a brand new tourist information centre along with bars and restaurants that will lead to the waterfront. The historic city centre, Planty and Jewish area of Kazimierz are all just a short walk away. The main bus and train terminals are about a five minute cab ride away.
Pod Wawelem is a modern hotel opened in 2006 and its crowning glory is a stunning rooftop bar with glass surrounds that offer fantastic views of Wawel and the river. The hotel offers simple and comfortable accommodation in a mix of single and double rooms. All are carpeted and furnished with a desk, chair and tea and coffee-making facilities. Modern fitted bathrooms all come with a shower. Superior rooms feature full length windows that face the castle and include a safe and mini-bar.
