Situated downtown in a quiet residential street, Optima boasts speedy tram and bus connections to the city centre. The simplest way to reach the medieval square and bus and train stations is to pick up tram 19 from the Kabel stop, with a journey time of around 20 minutes. A couple of stops in the opposite direction shopaholics can indulge themselves in the mega shopping mall Bonarka. The less materialistic can take in the nearby Plaszow Cemetery with its Holocaust memorial.
Optima has a definite ring of the 1970s about it and offers budget rooms for anyone unfused about decor. Lino floors lead the way to twin bedded sleeping spaces. Beds err on the small size though so lanky lads you've been warned. A table, TV and basic, clean bathrooms come as standard. Although some furnishings are looking a little past their peak, most of our customers take the 'you get what you pay for' line. Next door is a restaurant GOŚCINIEC. Serves breakfast, lunch and dinner. It is open until 22.00. Its nice interior decorated in modern style. Highly recommended and are very economical dish of the day, and good coffee. Optima's a good choice for anyone hoping to save some zloties in a friendly little joint that boasts nifty links to the city centre.
