Stare Miasto Hotel was built in 2004 by three local families who aspired to create a chic, congenial and convenient place that suits both traveling workers and family holidaymakers. They have achieve all that with this handsome four-storey property, located just 400 metres from the Old Market square and a easy 15-20 minute walk from the central railway station and Poznan International Fair.
This charming family-run treasure trades on the smart synthesis of classic styling, modern furniture and high-tech equipment. None of the rooms are huge, but all are cleverly thought, with plush fittings in inviting cream, peach and green tones and an abundance of windows that add to the sense of space. Each is equipped with a flat-screen TVs, work area with free Internet access and large beds with posh bedding, while lovely touches include complimentary bottled water and pillow mints. The hotels most seductive feature is the ground-floor breakfast/bar/conference room, where bare-brick walls and dark wood seating arrangements are lit by natural light filtered through the glass atrium overhead.
