Sitting loftily above the Szymaszkowa outdoor swimming-pools and ski lifts is the Mercure Kasprowy. It's a simple straight drive from the hotel to the centre of Zakopane that will take about five to ten minutes. There is also a mini bus that stops outside the hotel. Nearby is the start of a walking trail that leads to the Gubałowka Mountain top.
The mega block Kasprowy Hotel offers apartments and rooms with panoromic views of the Tatra Mountain ranges. Apartments have flat-screen TVs, mini-bar, desk, safe, balcony and bathrooms with jacuzzi tub and patterned, bulky sofas. Standard rooms have regulation hotel blond wood furnishings, most have balconies and modern en-suite white tiled shower rooms. The Kasprowy's selling point are the views of Giewont on one side or Gubałowka from the other, depending on the room given. Sporty types will make a beeline for the 18 metre swimming pool and everyone can kick back on the terrace bar. By the end of 2010, the Mercure will also have ten new conference rooms and a dedicated business corner. Zakopane's largest hotel is ideal for all but it's especially geared up to cater for large groups.
