This hotel is located in the resort part of Gdansk, on the Island of Sobieszewo near the pontoon drawbridge and about 800 metres from a peaceful beach. Small shops, the Amber Centre gallery and fish restaurants are all nearby. There are views of the green pine forest only 50 metres away and an arm of the Vistula River. Driving to the centre usually takes 20 minutes, while taking a public bus takes some 40 minutes.
The yellow, modern building of the Bartan was opened in 2001, and joined the Prestige Hotels chain a few years later. Over its entrance is a decorative motive of a sailing boat, while an ornamental fence surrounds the hotel, its car park, and the garden with barbecue, bower and children’s playground. At your disposal are identical single and double rooms in colours resembling amber. There is a bathroom, satellite TV and free access to the Internet in each room. Suites have sofas, minibars, and terraces. You can play billiards for free, but need to pay for the sauna, Jacuzzi and massage. At the reception combined with a bar you can arrange a Nordic walking session with an instructor, horse rides, or borrow a bike. The Amber Restaurant with its orangery offers Polish and European dishes. The hotel is popular among business people visiting the refinery, birdwatchers exploring the nature reserves nearby, conference participants and beach goers. Here, little disturbs the silence.
