Occupying a wing of the music academy, Dom Muzyka (appropriately titled House of the Musicians), is situated in the Dlugie Ogrody district neighbouring the Island of Granaries next to the Tri-City-Warsaw road. Converted from 19th-century Prussian barracks, the mustard-hued brick complex is accessibly through a guarded gate and bench-filled courtyard. The city's best-known sights lie some 20 minutes stroll from the hotel, while the central train station is 2 kilometres away. Trams and buses stop about 200 metres from the premises.
As one would expect from a hotel inside a music academy, a soothing sense of classical music permeates the four-storey premises, from visiting virtuosos and music students rushing to rehearsals to concert announcements and graphics with musical motives decorating walls. Inside the high, cream-coloured single, double, lux rooms and the suite all boast bathrooms with showers, cable TV, anti-allergenic bedding, kettles and tea. Units facing the busy street boast air-conditioning and double-glazed windows to help minimise the noise.
