The hotel is situated in the Main Town, beside the Motlawa River, next to the 15th century Crane and pleasure-boat jetty, close to the most important tourist attractions, galleries and shops with amber souvenirs. The railway station is 1 km away, and half of the rooms overlook the river and the riverside promenade, yacht marina, and the Central Maritime Museum, while the remaining rooms overlook the street and green yard with its monitored car park.
This five-storey hotel was built in 1997 and renovated in 2006. Its architecture relates to the houses and granaries of brick that are typical of Hanseatic cities, and its interiors are decorated with watercolours with Gdansk motives. Hanza perfectly fits into the line of historical fishermen’s riverside buildings, while the restaurant terrace connects the hotel with the promenade. There are two entrances: one from the riverside and the other from Tokarska Street. The rooms at your disposal are noise-proof, air-conditioned singles, doubles, and suites with satellite TV, LCD screens, Internet access, and minibars. Sofas, safe-boxes, triangle-shaped bathtubs with a Jacuzzi and sliding doors complete the equipment of the suites. There are relatively soft beds and small windows in the rooms. The restaurant specialises in Mediterranean cuisine, offers a 15% discount to hotel you and the possibility to enjoy meals in the open air. The fitness room and sauna are available for a fee. You can borrow notebooks from the reception. Relatively intimate, Hanza does not belong to any chain and enjoys such an extraordinary location that it is popular among people of culture.
