Originating from 1931, the building once belonged to rich farmer. It was reconstructed in 2006 in the style of historical buildings in the village. The manor house is L-shaped, one wing having two levels, while the other has three levels. It is all in green and brown, with visible timber and brick textures. At the entrance is a wooden sculpture of the Wanderer with a lantern, done by a folk artist. There is furniture from antique shops and hundreds of trinkets that determine the climate of the manor: old figurines, framed photographs and press-cuttings, an 1895 issue of “The Wanderer” weekly, and relaxing music. For tired wanderers there are one to five person rooms equipped with rustic furniture, bathrooms with showers behind plastic curtains, and TV-sets with six channels. There is free Internet access in the restaurant. The hotel is proud of its conference room, from where one can see the sea; the multifunctional park pavilion with its glass walls; the spa in the attic, currently being finished off; the Wanderer Cake served in the restaurant and the organisation of slim & rejuvenate vacations.
This manor is called Wanderer’s Inn, and is located 8 km from the edge of Gdynia, in Mechelinki in Gdansk Bay, between Kepa Oksywska and the Mechelinki Meadows Nature Reserve, a part of the Seaside Landscape Park. The cliffs and the beach with its fishing boat loading stage are only 200 m from the hotel. It is easy to get to the hotel by public transport from the centre of Gdynia or Rewa with its wind- and kite-surfing centres, which are located 3 km away. From the windows, you have a view on the park surrounding the manor, the cafe terrace, gravel car park and two-storey neighbouring houses with gardens. The silence is interrupted only by the splashing fountain, and discussions on the terrace.
