The Admiral is located in the heart of the city, close to restaurants, discos, shopping centres, banks, offices, churches and the main Tri-city highway. Gdynia Glowna railway station is 200 m away, while Kosciuszko Square and the municipal beach 500 m away from the hotel. The Admiral is hidden in a yard, so no city bustle will reach you there. You only need to go through the usually locked gate of the apartment block situated next to the street, and park your car in the yard. From the Admiral, one has a view on the yard, surrounded by high apartment blocks and garages from all sides, and a little bit of greenery.
Renovated in 2007, the three-storey Admiral was built as a military officer’s residence in 1929. Nowadays, this is the only such hotel in Gdynia centre, and it is decorated with pre-war photographs of the city, with a staircase balustrade, designer iron curtain rails, bed backrests and tables with marble tops originating from a well-known workshop in Oliwa. The Admiral offers only twelve, yet cosy, singles and doubles that differ only in size, in beige and brown colours. Economy rooms, located partly below the ground level and so cheaper than the deluxe ones, are definitely far from the usual Admiral standards, unlike the superb studio in the attic, with its separate sitting and sleeping rooms, kitchen annexe, balcony, and bathtub. The rooms are equipped with showers, large beds, tailor-made wardrobes and built-in shelves, cable TV, LCD monitors and free wireless Internet. Due to the rather steep stairs, disabled people would find difficulties in entering the hotel. Smoking is not allowed in the hotel. Breakfasts are served in the elegant, but small lobby, next to the reception, on the second floor.
