Ventus Rosa Apartments are situated on a side street just off from the Planty - the green belt that encircles the old medieval city centre. If you're heading from the centre go straight down Krowoderska street and Biskupia street is the second on the left with the apartments on the right hand side. It's in a quiet spot yet within easy walking distance - just a few minutes - of the city centre with its attractions, bars, cafes and restaurants.
The apartments lie within a typically old style Cracovian townhouse dating from 100 years ago. Look out for a floor tile in the entrance hall dedicated to the architect, one Roman Silverbach. Today the block sports 11 modern self-contained apartments with big cosy sofas, whopping 32 inch plasma TVs, modern bathrooms and fully kitted out kitchens including a washing machine, microwave and fridge. Many of the rooms have some original features, such as cornices and a few have their own wrought iron balconies. Most of the furniture was specially designed for the apartments and is hand carved and finished in a Napoleonic style. The reception keeps a handy supply of chargers and adapters, should you be without. There's no lift in the three-storey building but the stained glass windows in the staircase will help take your mind off the climb.
