The Fortuna Bis is located just on the edge of the city centre within easy strolling distance of the main medieval market square and Wawel Castle. It's also handy for several museums, galleries and concert venues, including the National Museum and the National Symphony Hall. The reception is through a pair of wrought up gates, just off the main road.
If hotels are your thing then Fortuna Bis could be right up your street, with its swiss chalet style look. All rooms are carpeted and come with standard furnishings including desk, chair and TV and most have an extra chair or sofa that can popped open to become another bed. Bathrooms are simple, clean and unfussy. A plus in the quad room is the gigantic walk-in wardrobe. Rooms that overlook a courtyard get the bonus of a veranda that loops around the side of the building. Rooms on the top floor are built into the attic and so have sloping ceilings. Fortuna Bis is an all-round cosy, mid-range place to bed down with a rustic themed restaurant on the ground floor that's the perfect place to neck a shot of vodka or two with the locals.
