The Monika Hotel lies on a quiet side street just off the busy 29 Listopada Highway, which has good access for travellers heading from Warsaw. The highway leads in the other direction straight into the main city centre, which can be reached in a few minutes by bus. If heading off on foot, you'll be in the main market square in around 15 minutes. To reach Monika, motorists must turn right into M.Langiewicza and follow the road all the way around, turning right twice. The city's biggest cemetery, Rakowicki, opposite the hotel makes for a curious diversion.
Sporting a bright green facade, Monika offers friendly, unpretentious rooms and service. The hotel is split into two blocks, which are linked together through a pretty garden with a shaded terrace; just the spot for a summertime breakfast. Rooms are unfussy with light wood furniture and spotless, simple bathrooms all have a shower. There's a little variation in size and room decor flits between tulip patterned walls to more sombre tones. Some rooms come with private balconies overlooking the rear courtyard. Sleeping quarters in the second block boast newer bathrooms and parquet floorboards. There are also two apartments here - handy for larger families.

  A hot and cold buffet breakfast is served from 7.00 to 10.00am. Special diets and breakfasts outside these hours can be catered for with prior notice.
