The imposing facade of the Wyspianski faces the Planty – the green belt that encircles the city – and on its doorstep are all the charms and treasures of the old medieval city plus the main railway and bus stations are about a 10 minute walk away. It's also close to many business blocks and offices located in Centrum Biurowe Lubicz.
Built in 1963, from the outside the Wyspianski has an old-style Soviet feel with its rows of uniform balconies, but inside it's a different world. Rooms are smart, carpeted in either red or blue and equipped with TV, radio, desk and chair, double glazing and standard bathrooms have showers. Rooms in the annexe, reached through a corridor that snakes around the ground floor, have been modernized in a stylish chocolate colour scheme with newly kitted out bathrooms. There's also a restaurant, bar and conference rooms on the ground floor. Wyspiański, given its many rooms, would make a good choice for big groups. Take heed that standard twin rooms really are that – you can’t move the beds together – so to anyone on a naughty weekend - you've been warned!
