The hotel is located near the intercity bus station and minibuses terminus, on busy Kosciuszko Street and not far from the railway station and Krupowki promenade. The hotel is convenient for local transport, as well as the Gubalowka funicular railway, the shops and restaurants of the core centre and the Aquapark, which is a couple of minutes walk away. From its windows, there is a view of greenery, terraces, the Bystra stream and the street.
Stamary was the nickname of the singer who was the first owner of this little palace, built in 1905. Her residence was in the Zakopane style, but of yellow-orange bricks, and with what at the time were the largest terraces in the town. In accordance with its name, Grand Stamary, the hotel impresses visitors with its external look as well as the stylish decor of the interiors, and the level of comfort offered. Thanks to a renovation, which took away any memories from the period it spent as the “Podhale” employees’ fund holiday centre, since its reopening in 2006 the Stamary looks like a fin de siècle luxury hotel, but provides everything necessary in the 21st century. The hotel offers high, single and double rooms, studios and suites equipped with sand coloured bathrooms with showers, satellite TV, free wireless Internet, and mini-bars. The interiors are decorated with wooden beams, heavy curtains, antique accents, and even black old-fashioned style telephones. Most of rooms have large antechambers, balconies or doors to the terraces. Use of a small indoor swimming pool with a self-service hydrotherapy system is included in the room price. A gym, hairdresser, children’s room in the spa, lounge, a classic restaurant specialising in meat dishes, bar and cafe, free car park are all at your disposal too.
