Szczyrk is one of the most popular winter resorts in Poland. With its many ski routes, Szczyrk can easily compete with Poland’s recognised winter capital of Zakopane. It is impressive how such a small town like Szczyrk can accommodate enormous crowds of winter sport enthusiasts. There are plenty of private rooms to rent and guesthouses to stay in, as well as several middle and high standard Szczyrk hotels – most of them built in the 1980s. However, it is not always easy to book a room in a Szczyrk hotel spontaneously in the winter period. Szczyrk is one of the best places to ski in Poland, although its unique scenery attracts tourists in summer too.
