Winters in Poland can be very harsh, but they can also be thrilling and fun. One of the best traditional winter pleasures in Poland is the kulig. This is a fast and festive ride on a horse-drawn sleigh through the snowy open fields of Poland. Children love it and adults enjoy including kulig into their party schedules along with hot drinks and traditional Polish vodka. 

There has to be snow for a good kulig, but there are good reasons to be sure that it will be available from Christmas until the beginning of March. The kuligs take place in the National Park Kampinos approximately 20 kilometres west of Warsaw. The ride itself takes approximately 1 hour. You can have just the ride or much more. If you wish, you will be equipped on the spot with drinks and have a bonfire party after the ride. If you are in a large group then the program can include more cool features like a folklore group with singing and dancing.
