Auschwitz Concentration Camp
KL Auschwitz was the biggest Nazi concentration and death camp in occupied Europe. As the most well-known genocide site in the world, it has become a powerful symbol of our civilisation and the history of the 20th century.
Auschwitz is situated at a distance of 230 km from Wroclaw. It's easier to reach from Krakow or Katowice, with the journey from Wroclaw lasting only 3 hours. Guests are picked up from selected hotels. The tour begins with a 15-minute documentary film. Then comes a visit to the exhibitions inside some of the surviving prison blocks, the gas chamber and the crematorium. Afterwards, you’ll head to the large wooden extermination camp at Auschwitz II – Birkenau. After a guided walk through Auschwitz, there will be a 45-minute break for lunch.
