Your stay in Warsaw can be enriched with a short or a longer excursion to Krakow, the old capital of Poland. There were attempts to move the capital back to Krakow after the total destruction of Warsaw during World War II, because Krakow remained almost untouched and in its original historical shape. Krakow is probably the most beautiful and definitely the most frequently visited Polish city: it is arguably the most Polish and most European city at the same time.
