Overnight in Warsaw.
Breakfast in the hotel, then departure to Zelazowa Wola and Brochow.
Start chronologically by taking part in an excursion to Chopin’s birthplace in Zelazowa Wola. The traditional nobility mansion where Chopin was born is now a museum and a focal point for fans of Chopin. This was the place where Chopin’s parents met (Nicolas, the father, a French teacher from Lorraine and Tekla, the mother, a relative of the mansion owners, aunt of the first US administrator of Alaska). Fryderyk was the couple’s second child. A splendid park surrounds the property.
From Zelazowa Wola, we drive to Brochów, to see the parish church, the only example of a Gothic-Renaissance fortified church in Poland. There the wedding of Chopin’s parents was held and Chopin was baptised. We then continue to the Sierpc Ethnographic Museum to explore the traditional architecture of the Mazovia province, the countryside from which he drew inspiration.
