Lublin was once nicknamed ‘the Polish Jerusalem’ and is a must for travellers coming to Poland with an interest in Jewish history. This aspect of the city’s history can prod you to head southwest to visit the horrifying Nazi camps in Belzec or Sobibor. For something more pleasant, take a trip to lovely Kazimierz Dolny or Zamosc.
